Super Furry Animals set to play Venue Cymru

Gruff Rhys

Wales rockers Super Furry Animals are heading to Llandudno. Lead by multi-instrumentalist Gruff Rhys, this world class act has just finished serving Festival Number Six in Porthmerion a hot slice of Welsh Rock and Roll.

The concert takes place on the 3rd of December.

Breaking out in the 90s, exploding in the 00s and achieving sainthood in the 10s, Super Furry Animals have had a celebrated musical history. From chart hiking ‘Golden Retriever’ and ‘The Man Don’t Give’, to Gruff Rhys’ collaborations with none other than Gorillaz, the musical prowess of these gaggle of Welsh performers is irrefutable.

Most recently they’ve released a single in promotion for the Wales Football Team 2016 , Bing Bong. It’s a bit of a ridiculous song for sure, and live it’s been getting a wonderful reception live. (I suppose you only have to remember two words if you want to sing along.)

North Wales is getting some absolutely outstanding gigs as of late, not only is Festival Number 6 one of the hottest festivals in the country, but with the likes of Glass Butter Beach and Gottwood, the local party scene is catering for all preferences.

Expect the band to take full advantage of the Welsh appearance to speak using their native language. Visiting Wales during this time, or even considering it? Well, there’s no better excuse than to check out ‘The Queen of Welsh Resorts’, Llandudno at the Venue Cymru, North Wales’ premeire music venue, catch one of Wales’ most famous bands, and check out the Welsh countyside and gorgeous towns.

Llandudno’s seafront is clad in gorgeous, white Victorian hotels which boast stunning views over into the Irish Sea. These are hotels near Venue Cymru. This trip is practically bookd for you, accomidation sorted, activities sorted, entertainment sorted. What an absolute treat.

Venue Cymru announced that tickets would be on sale Friday 09 of September.
