Largest Zip Line in the World Now in North Wales

pulleyThere isn’t a lack of fun things to do in North Wales as it’s a region packed with action activities and fun days out for all the family. Now even more people from far and wide will descend upon this great area thanks to the largest zip line in the world!

ZipWorld in Blaenau Ffestiniog offered a challenge that was not to be sniffed at in the first place, thanks to Europe’s largest zip line being available there. But now thanks to Zip World Titan, the old mining town can now proudly claim to have the largest in the world and to further cement North Wales’ reputation as the best place to be for outdoor activities.

You can now reach speeds of up to 60mph as you careen over the mountains and mines of the Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Snowdonia either by yourself or with company. Considering how fearsome the heights are, no-one will blame you if you need to bring friends with you for safety in numbers!

It follows the opening of the Zip World Velocity in Bethesda last year which has attracted 40,000 visitors so far. The speeds are a little more breakneck at this attraction as you can reach an astounding 100mph on the zip line.

Sean Taylor, Zip World co-owner, said: “Zip World Titan has made Snowdonia the best place in the world for a zip line adventure. Titan is a truly one-of-a-kind experience as there is nowhere else in Europe where families and friends can share the flying experience together.

“There is a huge zest for adventure in the UK and we cannot wait to welcome more visitors through the doors this summer. “

This landmark occasion for sports in North Wales precedes what is bound to be a significant development for the area in Surf Snowdonia. The surfing simulator site is expected to open in Snowdonia next year and will be a huge draw for enthusiasts from far and wide.
