What to Do This Bank Holiday Weekend in North Wales

Days outForget the bleak and all too likely prediction that we are in for a wet and terrible Bank Holiday Weekend – we’d like to think that you will be able to have a good time no matter how the weather turns out in North Wales!

With that in mind, it’s time to look forward to some of the events we have coming up over the three days of fun.

Lovely Bugs: 23rd August – Llandudno Promenade – 11am-4pm
People of all ages are welcomed to part in this fabulous dance performance which tells the story of different bugs on a special quest. With professionals taking to rigs to showcase their dancing talent, this will be great afternoon out in Llandudno.

Denbigh Show: 23rd August – Denbigh – 11am onwards
Locals love The Denbigh Show and so should you as it’s a great traditional day out for all the family. From pre-school to pensioners, you can enjoy a fantastic line-up of entertainment such as static displays, pet show, horse events, classic cars and Punch and Judy!

Junior Showtime: 24th August – Rhyl Pavilion – 7:30pm
To mark a special occasion, the Gay Harris Designers bring you Junior Showtime 2014: a brilliant celebration of twenty years of performance. With brand new routines and one or two new routines to enjoy, there’s only one place to be for your dancing fix.

The North Wales Shire Horse Open Day : 24th August – Bodelwyddan Castle – 10am- 4:30pm
If you love horses then this is an absolute must. It’s not often that you get to say you’ve seen the world’s largest horse but that’s exactly what you get to experience at Bodelwyddan from as little as £5. There will also be craft stall, hog roasts and a beer tent to tide you over throughout the day.

Cilcain Show and Mountain Race: 25th August – Cilcain – All day
You get two for the price of one at this fantastic day out in Mold! Not only do you get to enjoy a family fun day but you can also enjoy a mountain race at the same time(though no-one would judge if you’d rather spectate). Turn up in Cilcain village centre at 11:30 for the fun to begin.
