What To Do This Easter in North Wales!

Easter Egg HuntEaster is just around the corner and what better way to spend the holidays than taking the family to participate in a fun day out. A variety of activities have been organised at a vast amount of attractions across North Wales, so no matter where you are in the region there’ll be a place for you to visit and explore. We have collated a selection of events for you to be able to plan your Easter weekend and we hope you enjoy!

On Saturday 4th April – Sunday 5th April 2015, the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway is offering free chocolate to everyone who travels with them during the Easter weekend, but you’ll have to find it first! The Engine Shed will be the main location for their Easter Egg Hunt and you will be able to hunt for the hidden chocolates for a tasty treat. Rufus the Rabbit will also be travelling on the train and will be giving away a few mini eggs to some lucky people, so be sure to find him! This event will only be a short 25 minute commute from Morfa Lodge Holiday Homes in North Wales, so why not consider making it a weekend break for all the family.

Morfa Lodge Holiday Homes in North Wales is also a comfortable drive to Y Pengwern, Llan Ffestiniog which is hosting an Easter Craft Fair. There will be an array of local craft stalls from pottery and wooden crafts, to chocolate and cakes. The Craft Fair will be open on Sunday 5th April 2015 from 10am – 4pm and offers free entry. There will also be refreshments available and the bar will be open from 12pm onwards.

Easter Egg Hunts are a great way to explore an area as well as be rewarded with tasty treats at the end of all your hard work! Gregynog Hall has organised an Easter Bunny Trail for the Easter Weekend and will begin on Friday 3rd – Monday 6th April 2015 between 11am to 4pm. The trail will take place through the woods and fields and the biggest bunnies in Montgomeryshire will be making a return appearance. There will also be a crazy golf area set out for all to take turns and the opportunity to wear your Easter bonnets. Tickets are offered at a small fee and each participating child will receive an Easter gift!

The larger attractions in North Wales are also holding a variety of Easter activities, including Criccieth Castle. An Easter Egg Hunt will commence at 11am until 4pm on Saturday 4th April 2015. The first 60 children to take part in the hunt will be rewarded with a special Easter prize and there are also the grounds to explore for the family who tag along.
