Pirate Weekend

It’s every landlubber’s favorite time of year! Come on down to the most ruthless and swasbucklin event in North Wales; Conwy pirate weekend. The event is set to be a treasure trove of activities and entertainment for all the family. Setting sail with the official opening at Captain Jackdaw’s Stage at 10am on Saturday running until the closing pirate flag parade and the Cannon Fire Demonstration to bring the event to a smoking finish!

Over the course of the weekend we have marvels from all 4 corners of the map to keep enthused. The Port Sunlight Sea Dogs will be singing sea shanties for all to enjoy, the Pyrate Circus will blow your mind with some brilliant stunts.

If you don’t think you’re qualified enough to go to a full weekend of piracy, you can get a full education at the Pirate School, in which classes will be run throughout the weekend. Be swift though! Places are disributed at a first come, first serve basis. If you want to be reguiled with tales of crime, punishment, torture and execution in a family friendly fashion ofcourse, then The King’s executioner is the one to ask. And if anyone has ever wondered what it would be like to meet a mermaid, then now is your chance with Toni Mirshell Mermaid and Captain Redbeard bringing the myth of this creature to life before your very eyes.

Every year the festival holds the great Conwy Pirate Weekend Costume Competition in which the best dressed sailor will win a fine prize.

So, away with ye! Surely you’ve heard enough! I’ll see you 20-21 of June.
