Fab Feb Fun Week at Welsh Mountain Zoo

Welsh Mountain ZooOne of the most beloved attractions in North Wales and one which is a great day out for the whole family is the Welsh Mountain Zoo, situated in Colwyn Bay. This February half-term, there are special events on that are sure to delight all members of the family – no matter their age!

Recently, the zoo has been having some Red Pandas as guests and they have been very welcome additions to the amazing repertoire of animals already at the location. Currently, you can enjoy events such as Sea Lion feeding and training and also the chimp encounter show. However, after the 1st of April, you can also get involved with the Winged Wonder Bird Display and Penguin Parade twice a day too!

As for the special week-long extravaganza of animal fun which kicked off on the 22nd of February, you can enjoy a brilliant and challenging trail which is a great bonding exercise for you and the kids. If you have a competitive streak in you then be sure to complete the activity to get yourself a special prize!

On Tuesday and Thursday, you can take part in the Crafty Hands event which is a brilliant occasion for you artistic types. The opportunity to create your own ‘Handy Animals’ with the Welsh Mountain Zoo is going to be a lot of fun on the two days.

If you’re looking to find some interesting facts out about the animals at the zoo, a specialist expert will be on hand on Wednesday and Friday to guide you through all the intriguing titbits about these fascinating critters.

Should you be wanting even more hands-on fun then the Media Centre is the place to be throughout the week as it will be hosting plenty of games and puzzles for the kids to get involved in.
