Conwy Butterfly JungleWhatever the weather, you will enjoy a visit to our Tropical Jungle in medieval Conwy.
Enter the specially created jungle environment and see some of the world's most beautiful butterflies flying freely.
As you stroll along the pathway, you will be able to observe and photograph at close quarters the life cycle of these beautiful creatures, from the tiny egg stage to the fully emerged adult butterfly.
An experience that will appeal to all your senses. The warmth and humidity of a jungle with scents from exotic plants and flowers. The sound of running water as the jungle spring tumbles over the rocks, but most of all, the sight of many butterflies gently fluttering around you as you wind your way through the garden.
It's educational too. Whatever your age you will learn more and be fascinated by the butterflies life style and behaviour.

Souvenir Brochures will be on sale with other Butterfly and Insect items of interest.
Disabled visitors welcome. Easy access through park and on site.
Dogs are not allowed in the Butterfly Jungle or Shop
Although there are no parking facilities at the Butterfly Jungle, there are ample designated areas within Conwy and the park. We are no more than 300 yards from the town centre or quay.
Arriva operate regular bus services to one of the park entrances.
After your visit you may wish to explore the park or just relax in one of the many sheltered spots. A short stroll back into town and you have an opportunity to visit the many other attractions, cafes and shops that make Conwy such an interesting and unique medieval town, and all within walking distance.

Finally, don't forget your camera!

Open: April to 5th Sept, 10am – 5.30pm
6th Sept to end Oct, 10am – 3.30pm.

Conwy Butterfly Jungle Group visits welcome.
If you are bringing a group or school party or you are a commercial tour operator we suggest you complete our request form in advance to avoid clashing with another tour and so that we can give you special attention.

Most people know very little about the fascinating world of butterflies and it is very rewarding for us at the Conwy Butterfly Jungle to enlighten visitors on these remarkable jewels of creation.

In 2004, our 2000 sq. ft. Tropical Jungle will again see some of the world's largest and most exotic butterflies. A kaleidoscope of colour in free flight around our visitors which includes the amazing metallic Blue Morpho from South America and Australia, and the Giant Owl butterfly that feeds from rotting fruit.

Most group visitors are dropped off at the entrance to Bodlondeb Park just 350 yards walk from the Butterfly Jungle giving stunning views towards the Castle and across the river. On leaving us it is only a 350 yard downhill walk back to the bottom of town or quay with its smallest house and river trips.

Where are we?
Conwy is situated just off the A55 expressway which runs along the North Wales coast. Follow the signs for Conwy and then the Butterfly tourism signs. Drive through the town and straight on for 300 yards. We are in a sunny corner of Bodlondeb Gardens overlooking the River Conwy and the Castle.
