The Cable sleeps 9 in a double, a triple and a family room - an interconnecting bedroom on the first floor with a double and a twin.
The Cable is a secluded welsh stone cottage nestling on the edge of the beach having panoramic sea views with breathtaking sunsets. You can sit in the garden with your glass of wine and watch the boats on the horizon, body board in the surf or take a pleasant walk admiring the coastal views. You can then watch the sun come down from the convenience of your own garden
This building was originally the telecommunications station for the under-sea cable and retains many nautical features including a ship staircase, doors and wood panelling. The Cable has spacious accommodation just right for two families whilst being equally cosy and comfortable for a couple or small family. The house is full of character reflecting the cottage nature of the house with its thick stonewalls. Recently refurbishment has created a large homely kitchen area with a granite worktop and Rayburn to add to the ‘comfy cosy’ feel as well as all the modern facilities including an induction hob, microwave, washing machine, and dishwasher. These modern facilities are tastefully included so as not to compromise the character of the property.
Church Bay [Porth Swtan] is the adjacent cove where you will find the 'Swtan'- the oldest fully restored cottage on the island- and The National Trust heritage coastline boasts mile after mile of uninterrupted walks. Nearby is the locally renowned 'Lobster Pot' restaurant and ‘Wave crest’ coffee shop at the end of the coastal path with its speciality cream teas as well as many other home made delicacies. The Church Bay Inn is within one mile and an easy walk. This area is excellent for all water sports or just quiet reflection.
Please note that access to the first floor bedroom (family room) is via steep stairs, which may present some difficulties in climbing for some people.
