Cable Cottage is in a truly amazing location, with panoramic sea views and direct access from the house on to the beach, this is a fantastic holiday home.

In the middle of a secluded bay, the Welsh stone cottage is right on the edge of the beach at Cable Bay (Porth Crugmor) near the larger Church Bay on the west coast of Anglesey. Situated a few paces from the beach the cottage has outstanding views out to sea.

Cable Cottage, recently refurbished, has spacious accommodation just right for two families whilst being equally cosy and comfortable for a couple or small family. The house is full of character reflecting its colourful history with its thick stonewalls and nautical features. This building was originally constructed in 1871 as a telecommunications station for the under-sea cable to Ireland and retains many nautical features including a ship’s staircase, doors and wood panelling which are believed to come from the RMS Mauretania.

You can sit in the large garden with your glass of wine and watch the boats on the horizon, body board in the surf or take a pleasant walk admiring the coastal views. You can then watch the sun come down from the convenience of your own patio.

A large dining table with eight dining chairs provides spacious seating for everyone to enjoy a very sociable atmosphere.

Lounge

The panelled lounge has three comfortable fabric sofas: two three-seaters and a two-seater. There is a large pine coffee table and a small pine side table which complement the natural pine flooring. A log burner is set in an attractive period fire surround. The windows offer fine views of the beach and sea. There is a 32in TV – and plenty of books and DVDs can be found on the shelves. Also at Church Bay is the locally renowned ´Lobster Pot´ restaurant and ‘Wavecrest’ coffee shop at the end of the coastal path with its speciality cream teas as well as many other home made delicacies. This area is excellent for all water sports, cycling on the local and national networks, fishing at Llyn Alaw, walking the Anglesey Coastal Path or just quiet reflection.

Visitor review

Strongly recommend you visit this unspoilt gem – we cannot wait to return as this is certainly a five star cottage.

´Cable Cottage has recently been renovated by the new owners and is situated in an idyllic location close to the beach with wonderful views out of all the windows. The interior of the cottage is light and cheery and all the furnishings co-ordinate beautifully. The whole cottage is very clean and immaculately kept with very comfortable beds and bedlinen, lovely fluffy towels with two bathrooms and a wet room. It has excellent central heating and was always lovely and warm. We loved relaxing in the cosy sitting room with a log burning fire and looking out of the window at the sea.´
