Groes InnThe Groes Inn is a welcome sight in any season. In spring and summer, the flower-decked frontage and secluded gardens are a delight: in autumn and winter the curl of smoke from a log fire and warm glow from it's ancient windows signal the comfort and pleasures within.

With fourteen splendid bedrooms, all en suite and luxuriously equipped, The Groes Inn is the perfect place to visit for a week or weekend, a special night away or simply a meal and a drink.

An historic pub with hearty home-cooked food, first class restaurant, country hideaway hotel ~ The Groes is all of these and more ...

Groes Inn Visitors to The Groes Inn have a wealth of choice: stylish dining in the award-winning restaurant, a selection from the bar's famous chalkboard of specials, or the lightest of snacks. Food at The Groes Inn has a character all of it's own: a strong influence of traditional British and Welsh dishes enhanced by continental tastes and a flair for creativity and the unusual.

The Groes' head chef insists that fresh ingredients are the heart of good cooking. Welsh lamb that has grown sweet on salt marshes of the Conwy Valley, pheasant and game from nearby estates, fine Welsh beef, farm cured hams and poultry are all regulars on The Groes Inn's menu.

For lovers of fish and seafood, there is an abundance of local delights: Conwy crab and plaice, wild salmon and oysters and mussels from the waters around Anglesey and Conwy. The Groes Inn is equally renowned for it's puddings and desserts. For many, the inn's sumptuous ice cream, made in the kitchens with fresh free-range eggs and cream, is worth the visit in itself. Rounding off the fare is an imaginative, well-priced wine list, classic (and some unusual Welsh) cheeses.

Service comes with a smile as well as style, so that guests feel relaxed and can enjoy the food and atmosphere, whether they are dining formally or in a more informal setting.
