The Welsh motto of the house Hardd Hafan Hedd means a 'beautiful haven of peace' and we can think of no better description. Relax and enjoy the comfort and tranquility of the surroundings. The antique furnishings and collection of Victorian watercolours are for all to enjoy.
The Old Rectory's six comfortable bedrooms, each with its own distinctive character and charm, convey that calm, unfussy, 'staying in a friend's home' feeling. All bedrooms are equipped with the thoughtful little extras to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The Old Rectory has steadily built up a reputation for its cuisine since we opened our
Country house to guests. Wendy Vaughan, elected a Master Chef of Great Britain and a Member of the World Master Chefs Society in 1996, is recognised in the following publications for her quality and consistency in creating dishes that combine lightness of touch with delicacy of flavour with artistic presentation.
