There is a leisure centre in Corwen and the town is a good touring and angling centre. A climb from the church will give you good views of the area – across the valley on its own hilltop is Cae'r Drewyn, a major prehistoric fortress. To the east of Corwen, Carrog is a pretty village with an old stone bridge over the River Dee, and the beautifully restored railway station is the terminus of the Llangollen Railway.
